Investments – Advice Tailored to Your Needs
Investing can help you work towards your medium- and long-term financial objectives, but all investments involve some degree of risk.
Our role is to understand your circumstances, objectives and concerns and to recommend suitable investment solutions from the providers with whom we hold appointments. We will explain the relevant features, benefits, risks, charges and exclusions to help you make an informed decision.
Understanding Your Investment Needs
Before making a recommendation, we will consider factors including:
- Why you are investing, including whether your objective is capital growth, capital preservation or income;
- How long you intend to invest;
- Your need to access the money;
- Your attitude towards investment risk;
- Your capacity to withstand a financial loss;
- Your knowledge and experience of investments; and
- How much you have available to invest.
We provide advice on a range of lump-sum investment and regular savings solutions available from the providers with whom we hold appointments.
Deposit accounts may be suitable where security and short-term access are priorities. Longer-term investment options may offer growth potential but involve investment risk and may not be suitable for everyone. Any recommendation will be based on the information you provide and will take account of your objectives, investment term, access requirements, attitude to risk and capacity for loss.
WARNING: THE VALUE OF YOUR INVESTMENT MAY GO DOWN AS WELL AS UP.
How We Can Help
We can:
- Assess your investment objectives and circumstances;
- Explain the investment options available from the providers with whom we hold appointments;
- Explain the relevant risks, benefits, charges and access conditions;
- Recommend a suitable solution where appropriate; and
- Review your investment arrangements where an ongoing review service has been agreed.
Investments should be considered over an appropriate investment term. Charges, taxation, early encashment penalties and access restrictions may apply depending on the product selected.
